Flooring & Tile – You’ll need to make major decisions involving color, texture and price when it comes to vinyl flooring, carpeting and tile. Therefore, its a good idea to visit flooring showrooms to educate yourself as much as possible. Review your room situations and budget with your flooring professional and discuss issues like usage, light, color and texture.

Wood floors can be a nice accent and there are a number of new products and options. Ask questions about installation cost and maintenance. In general, avoid placing wood floors in high moisture contact areas like bathrooms and around door entrances.

Tile can be a very nice accent to your home in the bath, kitchen or main entrance. It’s beauty and durability justify the initial cost. Make sure you’re aware of the maintenance involved as timely repairs like sealing cracks in grout can extend the life of tiled walls and floors. Check out the options in showrooms and be careful when choosing floor tile in high usage areas as they can become slippery when wet.
