  1. Great advice. The design of the LeafGuard gutters look great. Just thought that I would share a small point about gutter guards. If you live in an area with a high bushfire risk, it is important that you install aluminium gutter guards. Of course any gutter guard that reduces the amount of leaves and debris in your gutter is going to reduce the risk of fires, but aluminium is the best option.

  2. If you are cleaning gutters on a ladder make sure that you are using proper ladder safety techniques.

    Keep three points of contact with the ladder, either two hands, or two feet touching at all times.
    If you have ladder bracket installed, ensure that you use them to prevent any horizontal slippage of the ladder.
    Never work alone, to ensure that you always have someone to spot you if you need.

    Unfortunately there are a lot of injuries and deaths every year due to working at heights, even less than three meters, so don;t become one of the statistics.
